Syngenta
Protecting against Nematodes including SCN
For over 40 years, Syngenta Seedcare has led seed-applied nematicide innovation—from Avicta®, Clariva®, Saltro® and now Victrato®. With SCN and RKN causing nearly $2 billion in annual yield loss, Syngenta supports farmers through proactive nematode management, investing in research, genetics, and seed treatments to protect crops and maximize profitability.
Victrato Seed Treatment
Victrato® seed treatment delivers dependable protection against plant-parasitic nematodes, such as SCN, RKN, reinform, lance and lesion, across all life stages—eggs, juveniles and adults. Featuring TYMIRIUM® technology, it also delivers proven power against Sudden Death Syndrome and Red Crown Rot while suppressing foliar diseases early in the season, allowing cleaner plants for R3 Foliar fungicide application.
Utilizing Smart-Site targeting, Victrato combines precision accuracy with robust potency to defend against pathogens in the root zone while preserving beneficial organisms. It acts as a heavy-pressure specialist, specifically engineered to address the most challenging field conditions that farmers face.
2015 – 2022 Trials: FL, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MI, MN, NC, ND, NE, OH, SD, WI. Victrato 0.075 mg ai/seed + Base vs. Base alone. Base treatment: CruiserMaxx® Vibrance® seed treatment or CruiserMaxx® APX pending year.
9/6/23, Arkansas Trial. Extremely heavy root knot nematode pressure. Little rainfall in July and August.
